Compassionate Humane Intelligent Discerning

Having now had the opportunity to see every doctor at the practice, I have again a sense of what a remarkably consistent service it offers. I am very grateful and appreciate also the way when I needed I was able to get a same day appointment. I am also grateful for the thoughtful advice offered me by a nurse at another recent appointment prompted by the surgery which encouraged me to approach an ongoing health issue in a constructive way.

My mother was a patient of the Practice from 1954 when she married and moved to Canterbury. Sadly she recently passed away at the age of 92. Up until about the last 10 years she rarely had to bother the doctors but when she started to have problems first with her heart and then with falls I started to accompany her to see the doctor. Since then, through failing health and her eventual admission to a Nursing Home following a broken hip nearly 3 years ago, she was always treated with care and compassion. Any problems or concern from either myself or the home were dealt with promptly. My calls to the Surgery were always handled competently and compassionately by the helpful Receptionists. The care she received in the last couple of weeks of her life was what we all hope for. Thank you.

HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL STAFF - MEDICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE

I have been a patient of yours for many years ( 30 ? ) With the odd exception, which is understandable, I and my family have always been treated with great kindness and sensitivity. This was perhaps more unexceptional in the past, but in the light of recent cuts and increased patient numbers it is still largely exemplary and unfailingly kind. It is true that you have to wait a month for a routine appointment - I think this is pretty standard today, but if you need to see or speak to a Dr urgently you can usually be granted a same day appointment. I understand from friends who attend other surgeries this is fairly exceptional. All the Doctors, nurses and receptionists are normally kind and unfailingly patient. I think we are extremely lucky.
